The first part of Steve Jobs’s speech-when he talks about his time in college-inspires me the most. As a student, he didn’t see the point in taking classes that bored him, so he dropped out of college, and “dropped in” on classes that excited him. He didn’t know where this would lead him, but he knew that he was doing the right thing for himself, even though everyone else doubted him. He was determined to follow his own path, which was paved with countless bumps along the way.
In a speech he delivered to the Stanford students class of 2005, he encouraged everyone to follow their dreams and step out of their comfort zones and stated that all people are capable of making their dreams happen. According to Steve Jobs, we need to use time wisely. We can, in our own way, become successful whatever it is that we want to pursue.
